About

Hi, hej, hola! My name's Ondřej, but you can call me Leo. I'm a software engineer at ThreatMark, helping to win the war against fraud. I'm based in Brno, Czech Republic.

I am involved in teaching at FIT BUT where I supervise various hands-on student projects and lead seminars. I am involved in a research project focused on threat detection in networks.

I have professional experience with designing complex applications and distributed systems. I consider myself a bright and flexible developer who is able to navigate just about anything. My core experience is in C#, Python, Java, and C, gained through many smaller and larger personal, academic, and commercial projects. Feel free to check out my GitHub or my theses!

I have solid experience with Linux system administration, as well as with cloud-based infrastructure.

In the past, I spent several years in various management roles in FIT BUT Students' Union, a non-profit association where I represented the student community and helped university newcomers.

I speak Czech (and sometimes Slovak), English, ~B1 Spanish, and basic Swedish. I am also learning Italian. I find languages fascinating.

I play the piano and the guitar. I enjoy various genres of music - listening and performing.
