Hi, hej, hola! My name's Ondřej (some call me Leo). I'm a network security PhD student and researcher at FIT BUT based in Brno, Czech Republic.
My research is concerned with automated exploit-driven honeypot creation and deployment. I am also involved in developing a threat detection system based on domain name analysis.
I have professional experience in C#/.NET development, I worked part-time as a full-stack web developer. I also have extensive experience with Python, Java, and C, that I all used in many smaller- and larger-scale school and personal projects (check out my theses). I also have reasonable experience in Linux system administration.
I'm a member of FIT BUT Students' Union. I spent three years as a team leader and half a year as the chairman of the association, representing the student community.
I speak Czech (and sometimes Slovak), English, ~B1 Spanish, and basic Swedish. I also learn Italian. I find languages quite fascinating and one day – when the time comes – I would like to dive deeper into linguistics in general.
I play the piano and the guitar. I enjoy various genres of music - listening and performing.
