About

Hi, hej, hola! My name's Ondřej (although some people call me Leo). I'm a network security PhD student and researcher at FIT BUT based in Brno, Czech Republic.

My research is concerned with automated exploit-driven honeypot creation and deployment. I am also involved in developing a threat detection system based on domain name analysis.

I have professional experience in C#/.NET development. Apart from many smaller- and larger-scale personal projects (and my theses), I worked part-time as a full-stack web developer. I also have experience with Python, Java, and C.

I'm a member of FIT BUT Students' Union. There, I spent three years as a team leader and half a year as the chairman, representing the student community.

I speak Czech (and sometimes Slovak), English, ~B1 Spanish, and basic Swedish. I also learn Finnish and Latin. As a hobby, I attend several linguistics courses at Masaryk University.

I play the piano and the guitar. I enjoy various genres of music - listening and performing.
